How to choose a digital marketing agency in Rudrapur: 10 questions to ask

Ask ten things before you sign with a digital marketing agency in Rudrapur. Who shoots and edits. Whether a result carries a client's name. Who owns your accounts and website. Who answers the DMs. How they report, and what is separate from the fee. Good answers are specific and slightly dull. Vague answers are the warning.

Many owners in Rudrapur pick an agency the same way. A pitch at the shop over chai, a PDF with big numbers, a package price, and a WhatsApp group by evening. Before long, the group is quiet and the feed is festival greetings. Nobody asked the right questions before signing.

I run an agency here, so read this knowing that. These are the questions I would ask from the other side of the table. Ask them of us too.

011. Who will shoot and edit my content, and will I meet them?

In many agencies the person who pitches is a salesperson. The person with the camera is a freelancer hired for the day. The editor sits in another city with a shared drive. None of them have stood inside your shop.

Why it matters: a sweet shop reel is only good if the person shooting knows when the jalebi comes out. A phone held by someone who has never been in your kitchen gets the steam, the light and the timing wrong.

A good answer names people. Who shoots, who edits, and whether they sit in the same room. Ask to see the studio. Ask whether the founder comes to shoots, or only to the first meeting.

022. Can I see a result with a client's name on it?

Every deck says increased engagement and grew reach. Those are not results. A result is a number, a client you can name, and a time frame. You should be able to call that client and ask.

Ask for one. Then ask them to open that client's Instagram on their own phone, not in a PDF. Scroll the last month. Does it look like a real business, or a template with the logo swapped?

A good answer is one account, one number, and an honest line about what did not work. If they will not name a single client, assume the case studies are borrowed.

033 and 4. Will I own my accounts and website, and who replies to the DMs?

Both are about control. Ask who the Instagram page, the Facebook page, the ad accounts, the domain and the hosting are registered to. The answer should be you, every time, with the agency added as an admin. If the agency owns the page, the followers leave with the agency. If the domain is in a developer's name, your website depends on a renewal email you will never see.

Then ask who replies to the DMs. That is where the sale happens. Someone messages a clothing shop at 9.40 on a Saturday night asking if the lehenga comes in her size. A clinic gets a message at dawn asking if the doctor is in today. If the reply lands on Monday afternoon, the customer went next door.

A good answer says who replies, in which hours, and what happens to a question they cannot answer, like a price. It should reach you on WhatsApp straight away. Ask to see that happen on a live account.

045 and 6. How do you report, and what happens in festival season?

Ask to see a sample month-end report, with figures hidden if needed. A good report fits on a page. What went out, what it reached, how many people called or messaged, and what changes next month. A screenshot of the Instagram insights tab is not a report. That is your own data sent back to you.

Festival season matters because, for many shops and restaurants, that is when a large share of the year's sales come in. Diwali, Rakhi, Eid, Holi, the shaadi season. Ask what the agency did for one client last Diwali, and when the work started.

A good answer talks about dates. The shoot happened before the rush, the reels were ready, and the ad budget was saved for the days people were actually buying. A bad answer is that they will post festival creatives. Everyone posts festival creatives.

057 and 8. Do you come to my shop, and what is separate from the fee?

An agency that never visits builds your feed from photos you send on WhatsApp. Those are shot at the wrong hour, under tube light, with a customer's elbow in frame. Ask how often they come, and whether the first meeting can be at your business. A Rudrapur agency should say yes to a shop in Kichha or Gadarpur, and show any travel on the quote upfront.

Then the money question. Do not ask what the package is. Ask what is not in the fee. A clean answer lists four things. GST on top. Ad spend, paid by you directly to Meta or Google from your own account. Domain and hosting, bought in your own name. And anything outside the agreed scope, like a second shoot for a surprise launch.

If they want the ad spend paid to them, ask why. You lose the receipt, the account history and an easy way to check where the money went.

069 and 10. What is realistic in 90 days, and what happens if I stop?

Ask this and watch the face. A good answer talks about order, not figures. Reach and engagement move first. Enquiries and sales come after that, once people have seen you often enough to trust you. Anyone promising a number before they have seen your account is guessing or selling.

Then ask what happens if you stop after a few months. The right answer is dull. You keep the pages, the ad accounts, the website and the finished posts and videos you paid for. Ask separately about raw footage and project files, and get that answer in the contract. The wrong answer is a page you cannot log in to, or a domain you have to buy back.

07How AMS answers these ten

Briefly. Seven of us, all in house in Metropolis City, Rudrapur, since April 2023. The founder is on your shoot. The results carry names. Bluwalker: 3M+ views in a single month, and ₹8 lakh+ in sales every month since. The Royal Art: ₹70k+ in sales within the first twenty days of launch, with a Rakhi campaign built to a date. The case studies are at the Bluwalker case study and The Royal Art case study.

Your pages, ad accounts, domain, hosting and website stay in your name. The team that posts also answers the DMs and passes genuine enquiries to you. We come to your shop, from Kichha, about 12 km away, to Haldwani, about 35-40 km, with any travel shown on the quote. Retainers start at ₹35,000 a month and business websites at ₹50,000, both plus GST, with ad spend paid by you to Meta or Google. Details are at Digital Marketing Packages in Rudrapur from ₹35,000. If you stop, you keep your accounts, website and the finished work you paid for. Raw footage and project files stay with us unless the proposal says otherwise. Cancellation terms are at our refund & cancellation policy.

08Questions people ask

Should I choose a local agency in Rudrapur or one in Delhi?

Ask both the same ten questions. A big-city agency can run ads from anywhere. It cannot easily turn up at your shop for a shoot, or meet you twice in a week when a launch slips.

Is a freelancer better than an agency for a small shop?

Sometimes. Ask the same ten questions. The gap usually shows on questions one and four: one person cannot shoot, edit, post and answer DMs every day, so something drops.

What is a fair fee for a digital marketing agency in Rudrapur?

It depends on scope: shoots, ads, a website. What matters more is what sits outside the fee. Our own retainers start at ₹35,000 a month plus GST, with ad spend, domain and hosting paid by you directly. There is more at How much does social media marketing cost in Rudrapur?.

What if the agency will not show me a client's account?

Be careful. A client may fairly ask for its work to be kept private. But an agency should be able to show at least one account it runs. If it cannot, either no client is worth showing, or the work was not theirs.
