01What kind of videography do we do?

02Can you cover a live event?

Yes, and we shoot events as they happen rather than staging them afterwards. For Saras Mela we covered the full run of the fair, day and night — the buyer-seller meet as it happened and the live stage performances on the night. 1 lakh+ people came through the gate across the run.

We have also shot a venue event for Akasa and Jain Global School's Harela planting day. For events we plan the coverage around the schedule: which moments must be caught, who needs to be on camera, and what should go out first while people are still talking about it.

Event footage is also more useful than most organisers realise. The same coverage that documents this year's event becomes the promotion for next year's — the crowd, the performances and the atmosphere are the proof that it is worth turning up.

03What should I look for in a videographer in Rudrapur?

Look at the work, not the showreel music. Ask to see videos made for businesses like yours and ask what happened after they were posted. Then check a few practical things:

• Do they plan the shoot around where the video will be used — reel, ad, website — or just turn up and film?
• Is the person who shoots also involved in the edit, or does the footage get handed to someone who was not there?
• Will they shoot your real business, or fill gaps with stock footage?
• Can they cover your location without making travel the project?

04Do I need a brand film or reels?

Most businesses need both, and the smart move is to get both from one shoot. A brand film is the longer piece that says who you are — for your website, YouTube, a launch or a pitch. Reels are short, vertical and built for the feed, where people who have never heard of you find you.

Kartar's Haveli is a good example: one brand film for the haveli, then kitchen close-ups, food and dining content and on-location reels on rotation. Landmark Legacy's interiors and brand film came from the same kind of planning. When we plan a shoot, we list the reels we want alongside the film, so the crew captures the close-ups, the angles and the lines a reel needs while everyone is already on set.

If you are unsure, start with reels. They go to work immediately, and the footage can later be cut into a longer film.

Institutions work the same way. Aakash Institute put a centre head on camera for admissions, and Bansal Classes was shot between classes at the study centre — short, specific videos that answer what parents and students actually ask, rather than one long film nobody finishes.

05How should I prepare for a video shoot?

Less than you would think, but a little preparation makes a big difference to what we can make on the day:

• Clean and set up the space the way you want customers to see it — the shelves stocked, the tables laid, the signage straight.
• Tell your staff it is happening, and decide who is happy to be on camera.
• Have the hero products, dishes or pieces ready and looking their best.
• If you are presenting, know your three points; we will handle the rest with short takes and a rough script.
• For events, send the schedule early so we can plan which moments must not be missed.

We keep shoots as light as possible around your business, so a working restaurant, showroom or school does not have to stop for the day.

06Where do we shoot from, and how far do we travel?

Our studio is in Metropolis City, Rudrapur. Kichha is about 12 km away. Dineshpur, Gadarpur and Bilaspur are roughly 20 km. Haldwani is about 35-40 km. All of these are regular shoot-day trips.

We also shoot in Dehradun and across North India, usually by planning several shoots into one trip so the day is used properly.

Being close by is useful for more than cost. It means we can come back when the light is better, catch the evening rush at a restaurant, or return for the second day of an event without it becoming a separate project. Most of our regular clients get shot several times a year rather than once, and that is what keeps their content fresh.

07How a video shoot with us works, step by step
