Board exams 2027: when should a coaching institute start marketing its crash course?
Start now. Fix the crash course dates and fee by mid-November, shoot a month of revision content in late November, and announce the batch in the first week of December. Run ads until the batch fills, post short revision help through pre-boards, and go quiet on selling once the main exams begin.
For coaching institutes and tuition centres in Haldwani, Rudrapur and Kashipur, the months before the board exams are a second admission season. Students who coasted through the year suddenly want a crash course, a revision batch or a test series. Parents start asking around in December.
India TV reported on 10 October 2026 that, as per CBSE, Class 10 and 12 exams will be held between February and April 2027, and the date sheet was still awaited. The exact dates will move, but the pattern does not. Here is a plan worked back from the exams.
01Who is this plan for?
It suits anyone who sells help in the last months before board exams:
- Coaching institutes running crash courses for Class 10 and 12.
- Tuition centres adding revision or doubt-clearing batches.
- Schools that want parents to see their pre-board preparation.
- Test series and mock exam providers.
- Stationery and book shops near schools, for guides and sample papers.
It matters less for JEE and NEET institutes, whose main exams follow a different calendar. They can still use the same plan for board-plus-entrance students.
02What should I do between now and mid-November?
Decide the offer before you make any content. Most crash course posts fail because the details are vague.
- Fix the start date, timings, subjects and fee.
- Decide the batch size, and say it honestly.
- Choose which teachers will appear on camera.
- Plan one free thing: a demo class, a sample paper or a doubt session.
- Write down the questions parents asked last year.
If the CBSE date sheet comes out in this period, post it the same day as a clean, readable graphic with your name on it. Parents look for it, and a clear version gets forwarded in their WhatsApp groups. Check every date against the board's own notice before you post it.
03What should I shoot in late November?
Shoot once, in one or two days, before teachers get busy. That gives you content to post through December and January.
| Content | Who is on camera | Why it works |
|---|---|---|
| One revision tip per reel | Subject teacher | Shows the teaching before parents pay |
| Common mistakes in a chapter | Subject teacher | Students share it with friends |
| How the crash course works | Centre head | Answers fee, timing and batch questions |
| The classroom and test room | No one, or students with consent | Shows it is a real, serious place |
| Time management in the exam hall | Senior teacher | Useful for every student, every board |
Keep each reel to one point. Shoot in Hindi or Hinglish if that is how your teachers explain in class. Get written consent from parents before any student appears on camera.
04When should the crash course ads run?
Announce the batch in the first week of December. Run ads from then until it fills or the start date passes, whichever comes first.
- First week of December: announcement reel from the centre head, with dates, fee and the free demo.
- Second and third weeks: run a teacher's tip reel as the ad, aimed at parents and students near the centre.
- Final week before the start date: a clear deadline post and a WhatsApp reminder to everyone who asked.
- After the batch starts: stop the ads and switch to useful content.
A date gives people a reason to act now. For the Niti Xtreme Ultra Run, we ran Meta ads against the registration deadline, and the race had 2,000+ entries in two months. The case study is at the Niti Xtreme Ultra Run case study. A race is not a coaching batch, and we do not promise numbers. But the rule carries over: a real deadline, said clearly, works better than "admissions open".
05What should we post during pre-boards and January?
This is when you earn next year's admissions. Students and parents are anxious. Help them, and do not sell hard.
- Short daily or weekly revision tips from your teachers.
- Answers to doubts students send on Instagram or WhatsApp.
- Sample paper walk-throughs for one question at a time.
- A calm reel for parents on how to support a child in exam month.
- Updates from your own test series, without naming students unless they and their parents agree.
Never post rank or result claims you cannot prove, and never use another institute's results. Parents in Kumaon talk to each other, and a false claim travels fast. Our post How do I get more admissions for my coaching institute in Haldwani? covers what a coaching institute should never claim.
06What should we do once the exams begin?
Stop selling. Exam weeks are for good wishes and practical help: admit card reminders, what to carry, reporting times and a short "all the best" from your teachers.
After the last paper, the season turns. That is when you start promoting the next year's batches, foundation courses and the new academic year. Students who found your revision reels useful are your warmest audience for that.
When results come out, post toppers only with written consent, and only real results from your own students. Thank every student publicly, not just the toppers.
07How does AMS help coaching institutes with exam season?
Advance Media Solution works with education brands including Aakash Institute, Bansal Classes and Jain Global School. For Aakash Institute we filmed the centre head on camera for admissions. The Managing Director of Bansal Classes said: "Launching a podcast felt like a mountain to climb. They handled everything from scripting to final edit, and made sure our mission resonated with students and parents alike."
For exam season, we usually shoot teacher reels in one day between classes, then run the announcement and the ads through December. Retainers start from ₹35,000 a month plus GST. Our Coaching Institute Marketing in Rudrapur and Haldwani page explains how we work with institutes.
If you want your crash course content shot before December, call +91 91059 43909. Even if you do it yourself, fix the dates and fee this week.
08Questions people ask
When will the CBSE 2027 date sheet be released?
As of mid-October 2026, news reports said it was still awaited. India TV reported CBSE saying Class 10 and 12 exams will be held between February and April 2027. Check the board's own website for the official date sheet, and post it only after checking every date against the notice.
Should our teachers be on camera, or should we use posters?
Teachers, wherever possible. Parents choose a crash course mostly on who teaches it. A one-minute reel of a teacher explaining one tricky question builds more trust than any poster. Posters are fine for dates and fees, but put a teacher's face on the announcement.
Does this plan work for Uttarakhand Board students too?
Yes. The board calendar may differ, so check the official schedule and shift the dates. The order stays the same: fix the offer, shoot, announce with a deadline, help through revision, and stop selling once exams begin. Many institutes in Udham Singh Nagar run separate batches for each board.
How much should we spend on crash course ads?
That depends on your area, batch size and fee, so we do not quote a figure. Start small in the first week, see which reel brings real WhatsApp enquiries, and put more behind that one. Stop when the batch is full. Spending after that only fills your phone with people you have to turn away.
